Visitor's tax
The visitor's tax has to be paid by everyone who spends the night in the region. The proceeds from the visitor's tax are used solely to finance tourist facilities and events which are created and arranged for our guests and which are visited by a very large number of guests.
Each community has its own visitor's tax law, which is a law like the normal tax law. The visitor's tax is collected on behalf of the community authorities. An intentional or negligent offence against this law will incur a fine of up to
CHF 5,000.00 issued by the local council.
